About the Role

As Swvl continues to expand its TaaS services around the world, the Swvl team is looking for a motivated hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment to take Swvl’s TaaS to the next level.

As the City Operations Lead - TaaS for Swvl, you will assume responsibility for the smooth execution and continuous improvement of our services in your city. You will also own the Swvl mission of moving people better in your city, build processes to automate and streamline our customer and supplier experience and work with a team of highly motivated individuals to ensure Swvl continues to provide exceptional services at scale.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Identify on-ground operational challenges faced by all relevant stakeholders and work with them across the operations domain to address them.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams on projects to improve and sustain application usage among captains across the city
  • Focus and strategize on optimizing day to day operational challenges related to application, voice of captain/vendor and overall stakeholder trainings
  • Closely working with Finance and the Payment team to ensure smooth vendor ops
  • Act as a point of contact on all city operational KPIs for the global product & operations team for identifying city specific problems and implementing comprehensive solutions.
  • Cultivate and maintain robust relationships through on-ground approach with Swvl suppliers for the category in order to ensure that their performance is at an optimal level and any problems are being proactively addressed.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and thought partner for operations teams in order to constantly review and modify the existing processes according to the changing customer needs.

Role Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience managing operational teams across multiple territories.
  • Outstanding business judgment and critical thinking skills with the ability to use data to quickly establish high-value priorities and strategies to pursue them.
  • Experience working effectively with internal and external partners in a constantly evolving, rapid-growth environment.
  • A portfolio of achievement of working to streamline and manage operations at scale
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proven track record of championing innovation
  • Outstanding business judgment and critical thinking skills with the ability to use data to quickly establish high-value priorities and strategies to pursue them.
  • Enthusiastic and motivational leadership established through persuasion - leading by example for staff, peers, and senior leaders across all company functions.
